MOUNTAIN WARFARE

LECTURE & TRAINING PROGRAMS

At the request of the US military, Mark Lonsdale has developed a series of highly informative lecture programs designed to prepare US troops for winter deployment in the Balkans and other cold weather, mountainous regions of the globe.

The primary objective of these programs is to improve mission capability through a better understanding of the environment, individual performance expectations, training, equipment, logistics, mobility, command and control limitations.

Through the use of high impact audio-visuals, Lonsdale is able to equip commanders, team leaders and troops with the knowledge essential to maintaining mission capability and effectiveness in a cold weather or mountain warfare environment.

Combining the grim statistics of past winter deployments with more current "lessons learned" in Kosovo, South America and the Himalayas, brings a cold reality and a realistic tactical appreciation for the limitations imposed by cold weather and mountainous terrain.

Each lecture program is custom designed to meet the training and operational requirements of the host unit or agency. The following topics can be covered individually as mini-lectures or combined into a more comprehensive lecture and training package.
