ANTI-PIRACY &
COUNTER HIJACKING

STTU’s tactical maritime programs were originally developed in the early eighties for international Diplomatic Security teams operating in the Caribbean, Adriatic, Aegean and Mediterranean, and concentrated primarily on the protection of luxury super yachts and their passengers.
However, in recent years these programs have been expanded to deal with the increased risk posed to commercial shipping and cruise liners operating in the more troubled waters of the globe

STTU Maritime programs are a combination of classroom lectures, pool training and ship-board field training exercises (FTXs).

NOTE:
It should be understood that heavy emphasis is placed on hands-on training and in-water experience in all these programs, so trainees should possess a high state of fitness, motivation and basic swimming skills.
In addition, as with all STTU programs, we do not have programs that individuals can sign-up for or attend. All STTU training is geared towards tactical TEAMS and must be sponsored by qualified law enforcement or governmental agencies or the military.
