TACTICAL RAPPEL PROGRAM

DURATION:                 4 - 5 DAYS

Overview – An intense 5 day program designed to prepare law enforcement and military special operations personnel to utilize rappelling and rope access techniques as a tactical option. The fifth day of each program is for evaluation and training of Rappel Masters. Additional days may also be added for helicopter deployment and more advanced tactical training.

Host Agency Training Requirements:

  • Classroom with White Board and Powerpoint computer projector
  • Multi-level Rappel Tower with windows and balconies
  • Access to a High-rise Building
  • Shooting Range suitable for Tactical Scenarios

Individual Equipment:

  • Full Tactical Equipment as worn on call-outs (list supplied with training proposal)
  • Handgun, 3 Magazines & 600 rounds of ammunition
  • Stun Munitions, Flash-Bangs and/or FBG Simulators
  • Body Armor, Goggles, Ear Protection
  • Belt & Handgun Holster that will accommodate a Rappel Harness
  • Rappelling Harness
  • Leather Rappel Gloves (not too thick)
  • One 8-Plate Rappel Device and 4 Locking Carabiners
  • Helmet – Protec, light weight climbing or ballistic
